The History of Brandano Palace
In the picturesque medieval village of Petroio, amidst the green hills and valleys of southern Tuscany, lies a rare jewel that fascinates discerning travellers: Palazzo Brandano, known as ‘the Tuscan retreat’. Located far from the noise and bustle of Siena, Petroio is a small village perched on a hill, where life flows peacefully between an ancient church, a local school and a weekly market.
The palace, once the home of a noble Italian family, saw the light of day after a careful restoration and renovation inaugurated in April 2006. Named after Bartolomeo Garosi, known as ‘il Brandano’, the palace is distinguished by its beautiful suites, spacious rooms and charming flats restored in the traditional Tuscan style.
Summer in Val d’Orcia:
